Description

Mixture ratio and intake manifold boost vary in vehicles operated at high altitudes because of thinner air, causing increases in exhaust emissions. Certain devices have to be added or changed to reduce emissions. An altitude compensator has to be added to control mixture ratio and, on vehicles with automatic transmission, an additional EGR control system has to be added to modify the existing EGR control system.
