Distributor Cap and Rotor

Distributor Cap Test:

1. Using an insulation resistance tester, measure resistance between electrodes on ignition coil terminal and spark plug terminal.

Insulation Resistance:
More than 50 M ohms

2. If resistance is not within specification, replace distributor cap and rotor.

3. Measure the length of carbon point.

Carbon Point Length:
More than 0.39 in (10 mm)

4. If carbon point length is not within specification, replace distributor cap.
