NOTE: It may be necessary to remove the transmission to gain access to the turbocharger attachments.

1. Drain cooling system.
2. Remove air duct and hoses, then the air intake pipe and exhaust front tube.
3. Remove heat shield plates, then disconnect oil lines and water line from turbocharger.

NOTE: Inspect exhaust manifold to turbo mating surface carefully. Distortion of the mating surface or internal flaking/cracking of manifold will require the manifold to be replaced.

4. Remove turbocharger attaching nuts and the turbocharger, Fig. 3.
5. Reverse procedure to install, noting torques in Fig. 3.
