Air Flow Meter Self Cleaning Control

300ZX, 1987-88 Pulsar & Sentra w/E16i Engine, Maxima & 200SX w/VG30E Engine

This system operates after engine is stopped. The control unit heats up the hot wire to approximately 1832°F to burn out dust which is in contact with the wire. The air flow meter self cleaning control system is not in operation when engine speed has not exceeded 1500 RPM on Maxima, 200SX and 300ZX or 2000 RPM on Pulsar and Sentra models, vehicle speed has not exceeded 12 m.p.h., cylinder head temperature is higher than 239°F with key Off on Maxima, 200SX and 300ZX, water temperature is between 140°-203°F on Pulsar and Sentra, if engine has stopped by turning ignition Off on Pulsar and Sentra or if engine stalls with key in On position on Maxima, 200SX and 300ZX.
