4. Check sunlight sensor, as follows:
a. After disconnecting the sunlight sensor amplifier connector, ensure that there is current between terminals 685 and 653 on vehicle harness side, Fig. 11.
b. Check operation of pointer on milli-ammeter (set on 1mA level) when sunlight is applied to the sensor and then after shielding the sensor with a hand.

5. Check sunlight sensor amplifier, as follows:
a. Ignition switch must be on ACC position.
b. Ensure that there is voltage between sunlight amplifier connector terminal 686 and body ground. Compare readings with readings given in Fig. 12.
