Maxima Procedure
After splicing in the new injector sub-harness(es) (if necessary) and taping all connections, use the following revised routing procedures.1. With the identification stripes toward the fuel pressure regulator, the "rear injector sub-harness" should be routed with # 1 and # 5 injector harness OVER the spark plug wires. The # 3 injector harness should be routed UNDER the spark plug wires. Tie-wrap the sub-harness to the PCV hose in one place and to the SPLICE CONNECTION HARNESS in two places.
2. With the identification stripes toward the fuel pressure regulator, route the "front injector sub-harness" UNDER # 2 spark plug wire and OVER # 4 and # 6 spark plug wires. Tie-wrap the injector sub-harness securely to the main engine harness in at least two places.
3. Make sure the "Original EGI" harness clamps are in position and the tie straps are securely installed with excess plastic trimmed off neatly.
4. After the intake plenum is installed, make sure the injector sub-harnesses are routed properly. Install all hoses making sure the harnesses do not come in contact with sharp objects such as the hose clamps and are not pinched anywhere.
