Disassembly - Rear

1. While wearing proper eye protection and respirator, blow the engine compartment free of dust.

NOTE:
The EGR valve, air regulator, and AAC/FICD will remain attached to the plenum during this procedure.

2. Remove the PCV hose from the plenum.

3. Remove the brake booster vacuum hose and AIV solenoid hose when disassembling the rear of the plenum. Leave the air regulator attached to the plenum. Disconnect air regulator connector.

4. Disconnect the water hose under the plenum near the air regulator.

5. Disconnect all other vacuum hoses attached to the plenum.

6. Disconnect the FICD solenoid connector.

7. Remove the EGR valve upper tube nut and loosen the EGR lower tube nut. Applying Permatex FAST BREAK Super Penetrant or similar product will assist in loosening the nuts.

8. Remove the EGR solenoid connector. It is not necessary to remove the EGR valve bracket.

9. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the front of the plenum.
