This system shuts off fuel during deceleration at high speeds to improve fuel economy. This system operates only when the following conditions are met: coolant temperature is above 140°F on 1985-86 models, or 158° on 1987 models, engine speed is above 2000 RPM, throttle valve is closed, transmission is not in neutral and clutch is engaged.
