Valve Clearance: Adjustments
Adjusting Intake and Exhaust Valve ClearanceAdjustment should be made while engine is warm but not running.
1. Set No. 1 cylinder to top dead center on its compression stroke, and adjust valve clearance on valve numbers 1, 2, 4 and 6.
2. Set No. 4 cylinder to top dead center on its compression stroke, and adjust valve clearance on valve numbers 3, 5 7 and 8.
Adjusting screw lock nuts 18-22 N.m (13 - 16 ft-lb)
Valve clearance: 0.30 mm (0.012 in)
