Engine Replacement
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Drain coolant and remove drive belts.
3. Raise and support vehicle.
4. Remove front tires and the under covers.
5. Remove brake caliper assembly, leaving brake hose connected.
6. Disconnect transverse link and tie rod ball joints on both sides.
7. Remove knuckle to strut bolts on both sides.
8. Remove both driveshafts, being careful not to damage grease seal on transaxle side.
9. Remove transaxle support rod bolt.
10. Remove center crossmember and the front exhaust pipe.
11. Disconnect front buffer rod.
12. On Pulsar with manual transaxle, disconnect rear buffer rod.
13. On all models, remove air cleaner and disconnect wires, harness, pipes and hoses.
14. Raise engine slightly and disconnect or remove all engine mountings.

15. Reverse procedure to install. On Pulsar models, adjust the length between buffer rod bolts, Fig. 1.
