Throttle Sensor & Idle Switch
1987-88 Pulsar & Sentra w/E16i Engine, Pathfinder, Pickup & Van
The throttle sensor is attached to the throttle body and activates in response to accelerator pedal movement. This sensor is a potentiometer which transforms throttle valve position into output voltage, and feeds voltage signal to ECCS control unit. In addition, the throttle sensor detects opening or closing speed of the throttle valve and feeds rate of voltage change to the ECCS control unit.
The idle switch closes when throttle valve is positioned at idle and opens when it is at any other position.
