Headlamp: Service and Repair

Headlight Assembly:

1. Set headlamp motor to "CLOSE" position. Connect harness to motor and set retract switch to "CLOSE." Headlamp motor can now be set to "DOWN" with retract switch.
2. Assemble motor to headlamp bracket.
3. Assemble link A to headlamp motor.
4. Assemble link B to link A and headlamp bracket.
5. Assemble headlamp, finisher, and lid.

LID

Lid Adjustment:

CAUTION: Disconnect battery ground cable before proceeding.

1. Temporarily install headlamp bracket to body.
2. Determine bracket location so that alignment between lid, hood, and fender is straight.
3. After adjusting alignment, secure headlamp bracket.
4. Adjust lid alignment while opening and closing headlamp with motor manual know. Ensure that lid does not interfere with hood.

LINK

Link Adjustment:

Adjust link as shown on image. Tighten lock nut.

STOPPER

Stopper Adjustment:

1. Loosen stopper lock nut.
2. Open headlamp assembly completely with motor manual knob.
3. Adjust stopper screw so that lid stops with assembly completely closed.

HEADLAMP RUBBER CAP

1. When installing cap on back of headlamp, set "TOP" mark up.
2. Press cap on firmly so lip makes contact.
