Martin Senour Paints Procedure


Bumper Cover Preparation PUR or PP

1. Wash and rinse with detergent and water.
2. Wipe with KLEANZ-EASY II Low VOC Cleaner 6388.
3. Scuff sand with gray nylon scuff pad.
4. To ensure all mold release agent is removed, the bumper can be heated at 140 F for 45 minutes. Allow bumper to cool completely before cleaning.
5. Re-clean with KLEANZ-EASY II Low VOC Cleaner 6388.

Coating PUR (polyurethane) bumper covers

6. Apply Tec/SEAL Acrylic Urethane Sealer 5105 or 5106 with Urethane Flexible Additive 3084 according to label directions.
7a. Basecoat/Clearcoat Procedures
1. Apply Tec/BASE Basecoat color.
2. Apply Tec/BASE Clearcoat over Tec/BASE Basecoat using Urethane Flexible Additive 3084 according to label directions.

7b. NON-Basecoat/Clearcoat Procedures

Apply Tec/ONE STAGE Acrylic Urethane with Urethane Flexible Additive 3084 according to label directions.

Coating PP (polypropylene) bumper covers

6. Apply one coat of Plastic Primer 6243 according to label directions.
7. Apply Tec/SEAL Acrylic Urethane Sealer 5105 or 5106 with Urethane Flexible Additive 3084 according to label directions.
8a. Basecoat/Clearcoat Procedures
1. Apply Tec/BASE Basecoat color.
2. Apply Tec/BASE Clearcoat over Tee/BASE Basecoat using Urethane Flexible Additive 3084 according to label directions.

8b. NON-Basecoat/Clearcoat Procedures

Apply Tec/ONE STAGE Acrylic Urethane with Urethane Flexible Additive 3084 according to label directions.
