Deceleration Control System
The deceleration control system is designed to control intake manifold vacuum during deceleration to reduce oil consumption. This system is used to force air into the intake manifold when a preset vacuum level is reached, preventing excessive increases in intake manifold vacuum during deceleration. Air is directed from a 3-way connector through the air hose and vacuum control valve. As the air enters, it maintains intake manifold vacuum at less than specified level.
