Cold Enrichment System
While the engine is cranking, the air-fuel ratio is controlled mainly by the richer (Non-California) solenoid valve. From first fire to start, the air-fuel ratio is controlled by the vacuum piston and richer solenoid valve. After the engine starts, in accordance with the time elapsed and warm-up condition of the engine, the air-fuel ratio is controlled by richer solenoid valve, and engine speed is controlled by idle speed control actuator.
RICHER SOLENOID VALVE
The richer solenoid valve controls the fuel led under the secondary throttle valve, and then air-fuel ratio during the engine warm-up. This valve is controlled by E.C.C. unit.
VACUUM PISTON
After the engine starts, the vacuum piston controls the air which is thinning down the fuel provided to richer solenoid, and regulates the air fuel ratio.
IDLE SPEED CONTROL ACTUATOR
The idle speed control actuator is controlled by the vacuum control modulator, and controls the throttle valve opening in accordance with engine warm-up condition.
