Exhaust Odor - At Any Time
***UPDATED BY TSB #EF90009 DATED OCTOBER 1990Certain models produced from 10/88 to 10/89 may exhibit an excessive sulfur smell from the exhaust. If a customer complains of this odor, perform the following service procedures.
1. Inspect the following to ensure proper operation or adjustment:
Idle Speed Throttle Switch
AIV Operation Air/Fuel Mixture
2. Perform MODE 3 (STORED CODES) TEST and correct any problems found.
3. If no problems are found or repairs made in the prior steps did not solve the odor, replace the following parts and retest:
