Non-Turbo

1. Start the engine and warm it up until the water temperature indicator points to the middle of the gauge.
2. Operate the engine at 2000 rpm for 2 minutes under no load.

3. Turn the engine off and disconnect the idle-up solenoid valve connector on the idle up solenoid valve (located on the L.T. side of the intake plenum).
4. Start and race the engine 2 or 3 times under no load, then idle.

Timing Marks:





5. Check the ignition timing.
Timing should be 20° ± 2° BTDC. If not proceed to step 6.
6. Adjust the ignition timing by turning the distributor after loosening the securing bolt.
7. Turn the engine off.
8. Reconnect the idle-up solenoid valve connector.
