CIRCUIT OPERATION
The ECU controls the ground circuit of the O2 sensor heater (used to heat the sensor to operating temperature).

O2 SENSOR HEATER
The ECU applies voltage to the base of the sensor element. The resistance in the material creates heat, which in turn heats the sensor.
