Oil Pressure Sensor Check

Oil Pressure Sensor Test:

1. With engine turned OFF, disconnect oil pressure sensor connector.

2. Using a suitable ohmmeter measure resistance between terminal #1 and body ground.

Resistance Value:
zero ohms

3. Measure resistance between terminal #2 and body ground.

Resistance Value:
more than 74 ohms

4. START engine and allow to idle.

5. Measure resistance between terminal #1 and body ground.

Resistance Value:
infinity

6. Measure resistance between terminal #2 and body ground.

Resistance Value:
less than 60 ohms

7. If resistance is within specifications, replace oil pressure sensor.
