Fig. 5 Removing Knuckle Assembly.:

1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheels.
2. Remove wheel bearing locknut, then caliper. Do not disconnect brake lines.
3. Separate tie-rod from knuckle using suitable tool.
4. Remove nuts and bolts as shown in Fig. 5, then knuckle assembly.
5. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Tighten wheel bearing to specifications.
b. Check wheel bearing axial endplay, it should be less than .0020 inches.
