Fuel Tank: Service and Repair

Fuel Pump Fuse:

1. Remove the fuse for the fuel pump (located in the fuse panel in the left knee bolster).
2. Turn the ignition key to the start position for approximately 15 seconds (this will release the fuel pressure).

Fuel Tank Components:

3. Drain or syphon fuel into a suitable container.
4. Disconnect fuel lines.
5. Remove filler pipe securing screws.
6. Support fuel tank with suitable jack.
7. Remove fuel tank mounting screws.
8. Remove fuel tank electrical connections.
9. Using jack, lower tank from vehicle.
10. Reverse procedure to install.
