CORRECTION TO ENGINE COOLANT AIR BLEED PROCEDURE
APPLIED MODELS:
1989 Pulsar NX (N13) (with GA16i engine) and 1989 Sentra (B12)
SERVICE INFORMATION
The GA16i engine used in the Applied Models has an air relief valve located on the cylinder head near the number 4 cylinder spark plug. During engine coolant refill, this valve must be:
^ removed prior to coolant refill to purge existing air from the cylinder head.
^ reinstalled once coolant spills from the air relief hole during refill.
CAUTION: Failure to purge all existing air from the coolant system may result in engine overheating.
