Distributor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove the three screws in the distributor cap and remove the distributor cap.
2. Disconnect the crank angle sensor connector.
3. Remove the two (2) bolts and remove the distributor.

Installing Distributor:

INSTALLATION
1. Align the distributor shaft with the key-way in the camshaft.
2. Push the distributor into the cylinder head (the cap should be removed).

Distributor Cap Marks:

NOTE: The lettering on the distributor cap should face towards the top when installed.
3. Install the distributor bolts and snug them down slightly.
4. Connect the crank angle sensor connector.
5. Install the distributor cap and tighten the screws.
6. Refer to ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES and adjust the timing.
