Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Testing and Inspection

Air Flow Meter Test:

1. Leaving the harness connected, remove the air flow meter.
2. Using a volt meter, confirm that voltage changes from 0 to 5.0 volts across terminals G/B and ground when the flap is moved from closed to open.
3. Ensure that the flap does not bind when moving and that it is not bent. The flap should have a slight wedged appearance when fully opened.
Replace the meter if it fails the above test.
