Throttle Position Switch: Testing and Inspection

Throttle Switch Test:

1. Disconnect the throttle switch connector.
2. Using an ohm meter check for continuity between terminals A and B when the throttle is closed.
If not OK, proceed to THROTTLE SWITCH in ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES and check and adjust as needed
If OK, proceed to step #3.
3. Check for continuity between terminals B and C when the throttle is wide open.
Replace the throttle switch if it fails the above test.
