PARTS/LOCATIONS AFFECTED: BACK DOOR LOCK

SYMPTOM:
Back door rattle caused by interference between back door lock and striker due to loose lock screws

REPAIR METHOD:
Tools required:
Large (+) screwdriver

How to repair:





(1) Remove back trim. (Figure [1])





(2) Install back door lock. Loosen back door lock securing bolts and move back door lock in the direction of the arrow. (Figure [2])
(3) Replace 18 mm diameter washers with 22 mm washers.

(4) Tighten the bolts to 5.1 N-m and check back door for proper alignment and closing.
(5) Install back trim.
