SERVICE INFORMATION

Customers may complain of leather seatback side bolster "scuffing" on some 1990 300ZX vehicles equipped with leather seats. Countermeasure "Front Seatback Frame & Device Assemblies" are now available that reduce the rubbing effect as the driver enters/exits the vehicle.

If a customer complains of this "scuffing", replace Front Seatback Frame and Device Assembly with the countermeasure components. In addition, a new leather seatback trim assembly should be installed after countermeasure component installation.



SERVICE PROCEDURE
1. Remove the leather seatback trim assembly, the front seatback pad, the LH side pad, the RH side pad, and the upper pad.

2. Using the countermeasure Frame & Device Assembly, fit the countermeasure LH and RH side pads. Refit the original seatback pad and upper pad.
3. Fit the new leather seatback trim assembly onto the seat.

4. Re-assemble the seatback to the seat base.
