Oil Pan: Service and Repair

Remove timing belt.

1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Drain engine oil, then remove engine undercover.
3. Remove oil filter and bracket, then engine rear gussets.
4. Disconnect A/C tube clamps, then steering column lower joint.
5. Remove tension attaching bolts, then transverse link attaching bolts.
6. Place a suitable transmission jack under suspension member, then hoist engine with engine sling.
7. Remove suspension member attaching bolts, engine mounting bolts, then slowly lower transmission jack.
8. Remove oil pan bolts, then oil pan.
9. Remove oil strainer, then oil pump assembly.
10. Reverse procedure to install.
