SERVICE INFORMATION:


On some 1990 300ZX vehicles, customers may complain of missing or loose wheel center caps. This incident occurs when the hooks (which attach the cap) bow inward causing the cap to loosen. This loosening effect is caused by a combination of water behind the center cap and heat generated by normal braking action.





To correct this incident, a countermeasure wheel center cap has been made available. This countermeasure center cap has a retaining ring to prevent the bowing of the hooks as illustrated.
