300ZX ABS WHEEL SENSOR SERVICE CAUTION

SERVICE INFORMATION

To avoid damage to the ABS wheel sensors on the 300ZX, perform the following service procedure before performing front or rear axle maintenance.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

Front Axle Maintenance





Before removing the front wheel hub assembly, disconnect the ABS wheel sensor from the assembly and move it away from the hub assembly. Failure to do so may result in damage to the sensor wires and the sensor becoming inoperative.


Note:
All instructions in Section FA of the Service Manual are applicable.





Final Drive and Rear Axle Maintenance

Before removing the final drive assembly or rear axle assembly, disconnect the ABS wheel sensor from the assembly and move it away from the final drive/rear axle assembly area. Failure to do so may result in the sensor wires being damaged and the sensor becoming inoperative.
