SERVICE INFORMATION

On some of the Applied Models, a clunking and/or popping noise can be heard from the front suspension upper link while the vehicle is in operation. Starting with the Applied VINS, a countermeasure upper link assembly has been used in production that eliminates the cause of this noise. When a customer complains of the incident noise, replace the upper link assembly with a countermeasure assembly.

UPPER LINK IDENTIFICATION

The part number for the countermeasure upper link assemblies remains unchanged. All replacement orders will be filled with the countermeasure parts. Please note that the pre-countermeasure [Figure 1] and countermeasure assemblies [Figures 2 & 3] for each of the four types of upper links used in production can be identified by the color coding indicated on the following page.
NOTE: The four types of upper links are interchangeable and can be used in conjunction with each other. It is not necessary to match upper links based on the above mentioned identification codes [e.g., dots, stripes].
