1990-91 300ZX TURBO CLUTCH SLIPPING

SERVICE INFORMATION:

Some 1990-91 300ZX Turbo models may experience clutch slipping. If this occurs, a countermeasure clutch pedal return spring and clutch master cylinder are available. The new return spring and master cylinder will ensure that when the clutch pedal is released, the clutch can completely engage.

After completing the master cylinder and clutch pedal return spring replacement, check the clutch pedal free play (see 1991 300ZX Service Manual, page CL-7).

NOTE:
The clutch pedal free play specirication is 2.0 - 3.0 mm for both 300ZX Turbo and

Non-Turbo models [the former specification was 1.0 - 3.0 mm]. Make this specification change in the 1990 - 1992 Service Manuals.
