Fuel Pump: Service and Repair

Fuel Pump Fuse:

1. Remove fuse for fuel pump (located under the drivers side of the dash).
2. Turn the ignition to the start position for approximately 15 seconds (this will release the fuel pressure).

4WD Fuel Tank And Attachments:

3. Remove fuel tank, refer to illustration.
4. Remove fuel pump mounting screws.
5. Lift fuel pump assembly from tank.
6. Reverse procedure to reinstall, using a new O-ring and torque fuel pump assembly to 1.4 - 1.9 ft-lb (2 - 2.5 Nm).
