L.E.D. Self Diagnostic Code Identification Chart

Fig. 15 L.E.D. Self Diagnostic Code Identification Chart.:

When a problem occurs in the ABS system, a warning light will flash on the instrument panel. The ABS control unit performs self-diagnosis.
To obtain correct self-diagnosis results, vehicle must be driven above 19 mph for at least one minute. After vehicle is stopped the number of L.E.D. flashes must be counted while the engine is still running. The L.E.D. is located on the ABS control unit and identifies a malfunctioning part or unit by the number of flashes it emits, refer to Fig. 15 to identify the malfunctioning part or unit. The warning light and L.E.D. will activate persistently, even after the malfunctioning part or unit has been repaired, unless the ignition switch is turned off. After repairs have been performed, drive the vehicle over 19 mph for at least one minute to ensure repair has been performed properly. If more than two circuits malfunction at the same time, the L.E.D. will flash to indicate one of the malfunctioning circuits. After that circuit has been repaired, the L.E.D. will then flash to indicate the other malfunctioning circuit.
When performing system diagnosis, refer to SCHEMATIC DIAGRAMS/ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC DIAGRAMS for wiring circuits and DIAGNOSTIC CHARTS for diagnosis procedure charts.
On except Pickup, Pathfinder and Sentra/NX Coupe, the actuator assembly is not a self-diagnostic item, to diagnose the actuator, refer to DIAGNOSTIC CHARTS/ELECTRICAL COMPONENT INSPECTION.
