Fuel Tank: Description and Operation

Fuel Tank Assembly:

The fuel tank resides under the rear of the vehicle. As well as being a fuel storage tank, it houses the fuel pump, and fuel gauge sending unit. The fuel tank cap incorporates a valve that prevents fuel vapors from escaping as well as allowing air to displace the fuel as it is used.
