A/T FLUID CHECK

Fluid leakage check




1. Clean area suspected of leaking, - for example, mating surface of converter housing and transmission case.
2. Start engine, apply foot brake, place selector lever in "D" range and wait a few minutes.
3. Stop engine.




4. Check for fresh leakage.







Fluid condition check

Fluid Level Check
1. Ensure vehicle is at operating temperature, then park on a level surface and set parking brake.
2. Start engine, then move selector through each gear range ending in "P."
3. Check fluid with engine idling.
4. Fluid level should be within "HOT" range on dipstick.
5. Add fluid as necessary and recheck.
