Fuel Pump: Service and Repair

Fuel Pump Fuse:

1. Remove fuse for fuel pump (located in the relay box near the battery.)
2. Turn the ignition to the start position for approximately 15 seconds (this will release the fuel pressure).

Fuel Tank Components:

3. Move the carpeting in the cargo area out of the way.
4. Remove round fuel pump access panel.
5. Remove fuel pump electrical connector.
6. Remove fuel pump mounting screws.
7. Lift fuel pump assembly from tank.
8. Reverse procedure to reinstall, using a new o-ring and torque fuel pump assembly to 1.4 - 1.9 ft-lb (2 - 2.5 Nm).
