Wheel Bearing: Service and Repair

Fig. 2 Exploded View Of Wheel Hub Assembly.:

1. Remove brake caliper assembly and support from frame using suitable wire.
2. Remove brake rotor.
3. Remove wheel bearing locknut, Fig. 2.
4. Remove wheel hub from spindle.
5. Disconnect tie rod ball joint and lower ball joint from knuckle.
6. Disconnect knuckle from strut.
7. Reverse procedure to install, checking bearing axial endplay as outlined under ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES/WHEEL BEARINGS.
