SERVICE INFORMATION
When repairs or accessory installation require removal of the radiator fan shroud, be sure that the main, side and lower pieces of the fan shroud are reinstalled and properly secured. If the side and lower shrouds are not reinstalled, radiator cooling will be impaired and the main shroud may contact the radiator, eventually causing radiator damage.
The side shrouds have clips which hold them to the main shroud until the four main shroud screws are installed. These clips are fragile. Be careful to avoid breaking the clips, especially when pliers or other tools are used to release them. If the side shroud upper clips are broken, replace the side shroud.
NOTE:
If any (particularly the bottom) of the four shroud screws are not reinstalled, the main shroud may vibrate against the radiator, eventually causing radiator failure.
