Buzzing Noise At Rear Seat Belt

SYMPTOM:
Buzzing noise caused by interference with rear seat belt retractor.

REPAIR METHOD:
Tools required:
Non-woven cloth tape, Vinyl tape

How to repair:





(1) Remove rear seat belt retractor cover.
(2) Remove rear seat belt retractor.
(3) Attach non-woven cloth tape to retractor upper bracket. (figure [1])
(4) Wrap vinyl tape to retractor upper bracket pawl. (figure [2])
(5) Install rear seat belt retractor.
Tightening torque:
24 - 31 N-m (2.4 - 3.2 kg-m, 17 - 23 ft.lb.)
(6) Install rear seat belt retractor cover.

Check for proper operation.
