TO: ALL NISSAN DEALERS

SUBJECT: 1991 MODEL WARRANTY TERMS


Nissan is pleased to announce the new 1991 Vehicle Limited Warranty. This new
warranty has been expanded from the 1990 Warranty to cover Powertrain Components for 60 months or 60,000 miles. A summary of 1991 Warranty Time/Mileage parameters is as follows:

Specific components covered by the new Expanded Powertrain warranty are as follows:

ENGINE

Cylinder heads and block and all internal parts, rocker covers and oil pan, valve train and front cover, oil pump, water pump and fuel pump, accelerator pedal, radiator, starter motor, alternator, platinum-tipped spark plugs, intake and exhaust manifolds and turbocharger, flywheel, seals, gaskets, engine control computer and harness.

TRANSMISSION

Case and all internal parts, torque converter and converter housing, A/T control unit and control devices, transfer case and all internal parts, seals and gaskets.

CLUTCH

Clutch cover and housing, clutch pedal and operating cable, clutch master cylinder, tube and hose.
DRIVETRAIN

Drive shafts, final drive housing and all internal parts, propeller shafts and bearings, road wheel, seals and gaskets.

SUSPENSION

Transverse links, lower and upper links, tension and compression rod, parallel rods, suspension arms suspension members, struts and springs, shock absorbers, stabilizer, torsion-bar, knuckle spindles, hubs and bearings, ball joints, wheel bearings and seals.

STEERING

Steering gear housing and all internal parts, HICAS system and related components, rack and pinion housing and all internal parts, steering wheel and column assembly, steering linkage, power steering oil pump and hoses, seals and gaskets.

BRAKES

Caliper, rotor and brake booster assemblies, brake drums, master and wheel cylinders, tubes and hoses, parking brake and brake pedal.

ELECTRICAL CONTROL SYSTEM

Electronic power steering, sonar suspension system, electronic transmission controls, cruise control system, IC voltage regulator, speedometer and digital meter.

RESTRAINT SYSTEM

Airbags and related electronic control systems.
