240SX TACHOMETER STICKS/INOPERATIVE

This is an amended version of a previously-published Technical Bulletin. It is being issued to correct one letter in the "CS" category of WARRANTY INFORMATION. Please discard NTB92-039 (EL92-006) and replace it with NTB92-039A (EL92-006A).

SERVICE INFORMATION:

Some 240SX's built between July, 1988 and January, 1991 may have tachometers in which the needle adheres to the stop pin from an excess of anti-static agent applied to the needle. This may affect tachometer operation by either not operating for a short time after starting the engine, or, in some cases, being completely inoperative. In such instances, replace the tachometer with the appropriate part number, tabulated below.
