Knock Sensor: Testing and Inspection

Knock Sensor Test:

1. Disconnect the knock sensor.
2. Using an ohm meter check for continuity between the sensor and ground as shown.
Replace the sensor if does not have continuity.
NOTE:
It is necessary to use a ohmmeter that is capable of measuring more than 10 Meg Ohms
