Idle Speed: Adjustments
1. Start the engine and warm it up until the water temperature indicator points to the middle of the gauge.2. Operate the engine at 2000 rpm for 2 minutes under no load.
3. Verify ignition timing is 15° ± 2° B.T.D.C.
4. Check the idle speed.
Idle speed should be 750 ± 50 rpm (A/T in "N" position).
If not proceed to step 4.

5. Close the AAC valve fully, by turning the diagnostic mode selector on the E.C.U. fully clockwise (located on the floor in front of the center console).
^Do not turn it back.

6. Adjust the idle speed to 700 ± 50 rpm (A/T in "N" position ) by turning idle adjusting screw on the auxiliary air control valve (located on the L.F. side of the intake plenum).
7. Operate the engine at 2000 rpm for 2 minutes under no load.
8. Hold the engine at 2000 rpm and make sure the green ECU inspection lamp flashes more than 5 times in 10 seconds.
9. Race the engine two or three times and let it idle.
10. Turn diagnostic mode selector fully counterclockwise to set it in mode 2.
11 . Repeat step 7.
