PURPOSE
Strains dirt, sediment and other contaminants out of the fuel.

OPERATION and CONSTRUCTION
The fuel filter is found in the fuel supply line in the engine compartment. It is a pleated paper filter housed in a metal shell to withstand the higher fuel pressures of fuel injected vehicles.
