Variable Induction Control Actuator: Testing and Inspection

Power Valve:

1. Remove upper intake manifold assembly.
2. Connect vacuum pump to power valve actuator.
3. Slowly apply vacuum to power valve actuator, actuator should begin to open at 4 - 7 inHg (13 - 27 kPa).
4. Valve should fully open as vacuum is increased.
5. If actuator does not open or does not hold vacuum replace upper intake manifold assembly.
