Fuel Tank: Description and Operation

Fuel Tank Components:

PURPOSE
As well as being a fuel storage tank, it houses the fuel pump, and fuel gauge sending unit.

LOCATION
Under the rear of the vehicle.

OPERATION
The fuel tank cap incorporates a valve that prevents fuel vapors from escaping as well as allowing air to displace the fuel as it is used.
