REAR DOOR GLASS WILL NOT ROLL UP COMPLETELY

SERVICE INFORMATION

On some 1990-92 Stanza vehicles, the rear windows will not roll up completely at freeway speeds when the sunroof or front windows are open. Under this condition, cabin pressure may pull the rear door glass inward, causing the glass to bind in the glass run rubber. Countermeasure inner glass stabilizers have been developed to eliminate this incident and can be installed as described in the following procedure.

SERVICE PROCEDURE





1. Remove the glass run rubber in the area indicated in the illustration.





2. Remove white backing tape from inner glass stabilizer and attach stabilizer to door frame, approximately 100 mm below the top corner as shown.


3. Reinstall glass run rubber and check window for proper operation.
