Creaking Noise At A/T Device Cover

PARTS/LOCATIONS AFFECTED: A/T DEVICE COVER

SYMPTOM:
Creaking noise caused by interference with A/T device cover.

REPAIR METHOD:
Tools required:
Non-woven cloth tape, Sandpaper

How to repair:





(1) Remove cluster-C.
(2) Remove A/T device cover.
(3) Attach non-woven cloth tape to the contacting surface of A/T device cover and cluster-C or smooth the surface with sandpaper (figure [1], [2]).
(4) Install A/T device cover to cluster-C.
(5) Twist cluster-C and make sure the creaking noise does not occur (figure [3]).
^ If the noise occurs, attach non-woven cloth tape to the contacting surface of cluster-C and A/T device cover.
(6) Install cluster-C.
