Creaking or Rattling Noise At Engine Compartment

SYMPTOM:
Creaking or rattling noise caused by interference with front side of instrument panel.

REPAIR METHOD:
Tools required: Urethane

How to repair:





(1) Attach urethane tape between EGI harness and dash panel. (Figure 1)
(2) When A/C low pressure hose interferes with A/T level gauge, wrap the interference section with urethane tape (Figure 2).
(3) When A/C low pressure hose interferes with evaporative tube, provide clearance by pushing evaporative tube to dash panel side (Figure 3).
Clearance: More than 10 mm (0.39 in.)
